May I show customer reviews on my website?
Real voices can help. Invented or embellished proof cannot.
Short answer
Under the Google Maps policy, fake, misleading or second-hand contributions are not allowed; this includes paid reviews and asking only for positive ones. If you quote a review on your own website, check where it came from, how recent it is and whether you may use it there. A review proves nothing if its source and context cannot be traced.
What you can check now
- Name the platform and the date when you quote reviews.
- Do not use a review without a traceable origin and clear usage rights.
- Ask real customers for feedback neutrally, not only the satisfied ones.
Please note: This is editorial guidance, not legal advice. Have usage rights and labelling reviewed case by case.
