What should my appointment button say?
A clearly labelled appointment action should match the actual next step.
Short answer
Link text should make clear where a link goes or what happens after the click; the W3C guideline requires a link’s purpose to be understandable from its text or context. Google recommends descriptive link text. “Request an appointment”, “Call now” and “Book online” are Lumeya’s examples, not wording from these sources. Use only the booking route you really offer.
What you can check now
- Name the destination or the specific action.
- Avoid a button that promises more than the next step delivers.
- Check that the link text still makes sense in context.
